11.51km FUNdraiser Run

We are holding our second annual FUN RUN to raise awareness and support for our men and women's soccer teams in Zambia - the Macha Sports FC Golden Eagles.

The run will be 7.5 miles - or 11.51 kilometers as our friends in Macha would measure it. (Shout out to Project1151.)

Our hope is that each runner can raise $100 to participate. Proceeds of the run will go directly towards participation and transportation costs for our teams as they travel throughout southern Zambia to compete. Here are a few ways you can get involved:

• Join us in person to run on Saturday, October 31st in Dillsburg, PA.

  • Email us to let us know you are coming!

• If you're unable to join us at that location and/or date, feel free to run, walk, or bike your own course.

• If you're not a runner, consider sponsoring one of our players at the bottom of this page. On the same day as our run, members of our Macha Sports FC community will also be running in Zambia. We hope to find 50 sponsors for those folks ready to run in Macha!

About the $100 Sponsorship:

We've set a suggested sponsorship goal of $100 per runner, but here's what we want you to know : your participation matters more than the dollar amount. Whether you raise $100, $50, $25, or can't fundraise at all - we want you there! The cost should not keep you from joining us either in Dillsburg or running your own course.

Here are some ways to get involved:

• Fundraise for yourself - Share your personal fundraising goal with friends, family, and coworkers. Even small donations add up quickly! ($10 from 10 people = $100!)

• Run as a team - Gather a group and fundraise together. Split the goal among teammates and make it a fun challenge.

• Just show up - If fundraising isn't possible right now, just come and run or bike with us. Your presence builds community and raises awareness for our Golden Eagles. Email us to let us know you are coming!
