WE AIM TO BRIDGE THE GAP OF ACCESSIBILITY BETWEEN COMMUNITIES AND DONORS
Acting as an umbrella non-profit to Zambian-run organizations in Macha
THEORY OF CHANGE
WE BELIEVE IN LOCALLY LED INSTITUTIONS
Project1151 prioritizes the voices and decisions of leadership within our international partnership and connection to Macha, Zambia.
Macha is a rural community with various institutions which have worked tirelessly in community organizing efforts and have left a meaningful impact within the region and beyond.
There is currently no platform available where donors can learn about and contribute to these local institutions and the programs they are instituting.
The goal of Project1151 is to bridge the gap of accessibility between potential donors around the world and the organizations whose work in Macha they’re interested in supporting.
We aim to accomplish this by partnering with these trusted organizations and providing a website with ample information both regarding the work happening on the ground and the ways additional funding can expand and develop the work further.
Our hope is that through this umbrella nonprofit we will provide donor accessibility for our partnering organizations in their work -which in turn, is helping to empower their local leaders of tomorrow.
OUR ROOTS
MACHA HAS A RICH AND ONGOING HISTORY OF COLLABORATING WITH COMMUNITIES IN NORTH AMERICA
Through partnering with local institutions, visitors have built meaningful relationships with local residents and have sought to remain connected to people and the community at large.
One of the goals of P1151 is to help facilitate ongoing international connectedness between visitors, potential donors, and the Macha community.

SOCIAL IMPACT STATEMENT
WE REIMAGINE HOW AN INTERNATIONAL NON-PROFIT CAN COLLABORATE AND CREATE EQUITABLE PARTNERSHIPS
We identify equitable partnerships as working honestly alongside our partners and trusting their local leaders to make decisions and use funding how they find most valuable.

We are reimagining how international non-profits operate because too often, western based nonprofits have historically centered and prioritized the voices and influence of their funding sources. In doing so, they lost sight of how an honest and equitable partnership should operate.

We believe locally led partners are independently accomplishing their goals and missions within their approach to ministry and programming.

Project1151 will provide an avenue to help partners receive both international and domestic funding.
Our collaboration is rooted in a strengths-based approach that recognizes the value in connecting donors with like-minded organizations that are doing work they find invaluable.

Project1151 acts as a portal that provides Zambian run institutions a platform on a collective website that facilitates both ongoing donations and special project donations to be made.
