Winning is so much more than a final score.
When we began work in Macha, it started with handing a soccer ball out the back door to a handful of young boys who wanted something to do each afternoon. Though we never could have dreamed that Macha Sport + Learning Project ministry would become all that it has today, one of our hopes in the soccer realm was to help the children in Macha dream of reaching higher levels of sport in Zambia. Specifically, among other things, we wanted to put ‘Macha on the soccer map’ in Zambia and get some of these talented youth the recognition we knew they had the potential to receive with an avenue of proper exposure.
Our goal is to bring a group of people together who love soccer and want to get behind the mission of Macha Sports FC as it continues to climb from the grass roots where it began. With enough support we will be able to see our senior club teams continue successful campaigns for the future development of our Macha youth and community.

We knew that to build a successful program, it would take time and resources. For many years we poured energy into training not only the children, but also the coaches who would help develop these children into young men and women who would succeed on and off the soccer field. After competing in the local Macha men’s league since 2016, we finally joined the Football Association of Zambia(FAZ) Division III soccer league in 2022. In our second season we finished on top of Division III of Southern Province , gaining promotion to Division II where we are currently competing. If Macha Sports FC can come out on top again, the club will gain promotion to Division I and one step closer to the professional Premier League. This September, we are excited to say our women will be making their debut in the women's league, Division 1. Thank you for your support!
